September 26 is Mesothelioma Awareness Day. On this day every year we honor and support the victims of this terrible disease and their families and loved ones.
We use this day to educate people about Mesothelioma, a deadly cancer caused by exposure to asbestos-containing products.
Awareness also encourages fundraising to help researchers develop treatments for those currently battling the disease and to find a cure that would prevent others from suffering from this horrible disease.
Similar to other cancers, mesothelioma has a color to promote awareness. To honor those with mesothelioma wear a blue ribbon—or anything blue—to show your support!! Then tell people why you are wearing blue.
